ChargeUp EV grants for workplaces

Round 2 of the Charge Up Workplace Electric Vehicle (EV) grant program is open for applications.

Grant program overview

The grants will make EV chargers more affordable for your workplace, with funding of up to 50 per cent of the cost to purchase and install an EV charger.

This round of the Charge Up Workplace Grants includes both AC chargers (7 to 22 kilowatts) and faster direct current DC chargers (25 to 350 kilowatts).

Who is eligible for a grant?

  • Small and medium enterprises (small businesses are defined as having less than 20 employees, while medium businesses have between 20 and 199 employees).

  • Not-for-profits registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.

  • Local government authorities.

Expanding EV charging access across WA

More Western Australians will be able to enjoy the convenience and confidence of charging their EVs across the State, with more EV chargers being installed through the grant program and WA EV Network project.

403 chargers have already been approved to be installed in 221 locations from Karratha to Albany, and around the Perth metropolitan area.

The Charge Up Workplace Grants are designed to maximise daytime EV charging, promote off-peak charging, support the conversion to EV fleets, and over time, stimulate a second-hand EV market.

Applications for Round 2 close on 3 May 2024.
